A b>Health Care Aide is responsible for providing various services to meet the personal care needs and to promote comfort and independence to acutely ill and/or chronically ill. Health care aides perform their tasks under the supervision of nursing and medical staff. Tasks are varied and include delivering messages to patients, serving meals, making beds, and helping patients eat, dress, and bathe. Aides also may provide skin care to patients; take temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure; and help patients get in and out of bed and walk.
